That's me...or as close to me as you'll get after I left the Cow to draw the pictures. But what can you expect with cloven hooves? Anyway, I look a bit like that, except my hair is now shorter. The mistake is forgivable though, because the Cow hasn't seen me since I had my ears lowered. If this is a boring biography, sorry, but you've come to read the cartoons, not this. Go back the real pages. He probably should have signed the pictures too, eh? |
Yes it is true. I am guilty for the above 'portraits'. Don't expect too much more drawing from me tho as the reason I conned, er.. I mean convinced Dutch this was a good opportunity for him is so he could draw all the strips. Well, most of the strips anyway. I may sneak in the occasional piece if Dutch is unable to get something up on the site for a while.
I will do my very best to make sure that doesn't happen. We do want people to come back and read some more. Dutch. These likenesses are 'reasonably' accurate as far as caricatures go tho, and I think Dutch does look better with a bit of length in his hair. |
WHO IS SMUDGED INC ??
| Hi! I am Daniel "The Cow" Quinney, and that suave lookin' fella with me is Daniel "Dutch" VanderWerff. Together, we are.. *cheesy theme music* SMUDGED INC
| If you are here reading this I am going to assume that SCHOOL SPIRIT is something you found worthy of looking further into. Well SMUDGED INC is where the rabbit hole takes you. Right now SMUDGED INC is only the two of us Dans, but soon we are kinda hoping to con.. er.. enlist (yeah.. enlist sounds better) the help of a few more people. I First formed SMUDGED INC in late 2003 as a way of funnelling my enthusiasm for creating a web comic into something other than concepts and ideas. I asked Dutch to help cos he can draw and I can't. Once Dan was on board it was not long before it looked like a web comic was truly going to happen! (YAY Dutch ^^) The Basic Storyline of SCHOOL SPIRIT was born out of a musical Dutch was working on at the time (Yes he is a fine musician as well, don't you just hate him?) and after a few changes to make the flow of the strips workable (Music is kinda hard to comic don't you know) SCHOOL SPIRIT THE WEB COMIC was born. Are you still reading? Boy, you must be pleased with our site. Not sure what else to put here, cant you go read the strips again or something? I guess I should mention there is a chance that SMUDGED INC will be involved in the creation of ANOTHER Web comic actually starring we two Dans! Oh sure, there will be other characters in there based loosely on some of our slack as mates but who cares? Dan and Dan in a strip! Cool! That one is a fair way off at this stage. It will be almost entirely based on the L337 C0M1C 5K1LLZ of our good friend SHNORLAX. So keep checkin' in and we will be sure to let you know when that is up and running ^^. Ok, that's it. Only other thing I will mention is SMUDGED INC was actually briefly known as "2Dan Studio", but we canned that cos its l4m3. Right that's all I have. Go email your buddies and tell em to read SCHOOL SPIRIT. I am gonna go make more coffee.
